The time is now for advocates and organizers to come together to push Congress to reform immigration this year. Close to 400 leaders from immigrant community, labor, and faith organizations from around the country will be meeting June 3-5, 2009 at a summit in Washington, DC to build momentum for the passage of just and humane immigration reform. The time is now to advocate aggressively for practical solutions that benefit all of us and are rooted in the restoration of the rule of law, earned citizenship, united families, and fair treatment of workers. Your participation is requested and needed. Join us to build a stronger immigrant rights movement and greater momentum.
The Summit is being sponsored by the Reform Immigration for America Campaign, a national coalition of advocates and organizations from faith, labor and immigrant communities committed to winning the votes needed to enact a just and comprehensive immigration reform bill in this session of Congress. The Reform Immigration for America Campaign Summit will be the largest convening of pro-immigrant organizers and allies in Washington this year. The Summit will provide leaders and advocates like you with the tools, information, team-building and training necessary to meet the challenge and win.
At the Summit, groups will have the opportunity to network, share tactics and best practices, and learn new skills through a variety of workshops and sessions. By the conclusion of the three-day summit, participants will leave not only energized, but armed with critical tools, skills, and a clear strategy to win.
Highlights of the Summit:
- What’s Our Strategy to Win?
