What are Families, Freedom, and Faith House Parties?

We know not everyone can make it to Washington to march on the Capitol and show support for progressive, comprehensive immigration reform. But that doesn’t mean you can’t be a part of the message we are sending to D.C.

All across the country we are asking people to hold house parties with their family, friends, neighbors, churches, classmates and anyone else who supports comprehensive immigration reform for America. We will be hosting a virtual town hall with Rep. Guitierrez to discuss the principles of progressive immigration reform, and you can be a part of it!

What is the message this will send to politicians?

This national action will send the message that America needs comprehensive immigration reform now. Our families can’t wait; our country can’t wait. We need just and humane immigration reform now, and the community across the country is ready to push for it.

The more parties and attendees there are, the closer we get to our goal.

What will happen on the call?

On this teleconference you will hear from Congressman Gutierrez and guests about the upcoming progressive comprehensive immigration reform bill. This call will also be YOUR opportunity to get involved with your community for the fight for immigration reform. After you hear the exciting news about a progressive bill you will be called on to ACT for immigration reform! You will be able to show your voice, courage, power, and push forward Immigration Reform through your actions from the teleconference.

I’m interested in hosting a party – what do I need to do?

You don’t need to be an expert in immigration reform to host a house party. To host a party, just sign up here.

How do I promote my house party?

Here are some ways to let others know your house party:

Are there things I should do to accomodate my guests?

Remember that like any good host, you are responsible for the comfort and safety of your guests. Help people find their way to your party via signs directing them to the best path. Serve food you think they’d enjoy. You may not want to serve alcohol, but if you do, you should do so responsibly and in compliance with the laws in your community.
