Anti-immigrant leaders were well-funded and well-organized, and thought they had guaranteed their victory. But they underestimated our strength united to stand up for our families. We defeated this assault because of our community, and the strength we possess only when we are united. Your stories were personal and powerful -– and they made the difference in keeping our children out of poverty.
