Rep Luis Gutierrez wants CIR ASAP!

Earlier today Representative Luis Gutierrez announced he would be introducing a comprehensive immigration reform bill this upcoming Tuesday.

And while Representative Gutierrez has been a true champion for just and humane immigration reform, he has some serious support behind this new bill already, with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Black Caucus, Asian Pacific American Caucus and Progressive Caucus all on board.

Even better?

The name of the new bill has been announced, and we LOVE it. Titled the “Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America’s Security and Prosperity Act of 2009″ , the bill’s acronym spells CIR ASAP.

If that doesn’t get you excited to take action, I’m not sure what will!

We have big plans for the bill launching and next week is going to be a huge week of action for immigration reform. Starting on Tuesday will the official bill introduction and capped off on Thursday with events across the country for International Migrants Day.

Get ready folks, because CIR is heating up.

It is time to reform our broken immigration system!
It is a priority right now for President Obama to fulfill his promises.
Let’s make history and prove to the entire world that the American Dream has no limits. We have to stop the hardships suffered by some families here, who are just dreaming of a brighter future for their children and providing a better tomorrow!

Why should we keep suppressing young minds living here in America just because their parents came illegally to this country and were forced to go through that path due to circumstances that we must address.

It is time to prove the nobility of the American Dream! Let’s all support the Immigration Reform!
