UPDATE:
I just received more pictures from the New York Immigration Coalition and I’m anxiously awaiting to hear just how big the turnout is. From the looks of things, the crowd is huge.
Check out the awesome Korean drumming:
SEIU is out in full force today!
Reunite families!

Just got this great picture from the stage courtesy of the New York Immigration Coalition. The crowd is stretching as far as the eye can see:

In New York, a large crowd is already gathered in Foley Square for the 12noonmarch and rally for immigration reform. Earlier there were Mariachi bands playing and as our amiga at VivirLatino noted, the folks chanting from local group Make the Road New York could even be heard on the 7 train.

There’s a pretty diverse crowd representing at this event (not that I expect anything less from the Big Apple). I’ve been seeing updates roll in from SEIU affiliates, labor advocates, peace groups, faith groups, LGBT groups like Immigration Equality and many others. “Truly a sea of justice” – in one marchers words.

Other igns seen at the march so far:
“America Demands Jobs Now!”
“Friends keep promises”
“LGBT families for immigration reform”
“Legalización para todos”

Will be updating as pictures and news rolls in!
