Terrorists are using the 14th amendment to get birthright citizenship for their children, who they will eventually train to carry out attacks against America. Or something. That’s the latest nonsense from the Republican Party. Not content to simply lie about crime statistics, beheadings, and kidnappings, or possibly worried that fearmongering over only one thing at a time was no longer effective, terror babies are the new weapons of mass destruction.

“It appeared that [the terrorists] would have young women, who became pregnant, would get them into the United States to have a baby,” Gohmert said. “And then they would turn back where they could be raised and coddled as future terrorists.” He continued “[a]nd then one day, twenty, thirty years down the road, they can be sent in to help destroy our way of life.”

Despite having absolutely no evidence of this, Gohmert felt compelled to share his message with the rest of the country:

I would ask what they could possibly think of next, but with today’s Republican Party, it’s scary to even consider.
